On a gently sloping hill that goes on for acres and acres, Jerry Lape keeps his family farm going by pure hard work.  A collection of small farm buildings houses 10 sows with their young in various stages of growing out, a dozen cattle, and barnyard hens. A field of corn and many of hay keeps Jerry on his tractors all summer long and keeps his animals well fed. We have been getting Jerry’s pigs for five years now.  Nothing exotic, but happy well-fed animals, fed only on what his own and a few neighboring farms produce.
